As you plan a wedding, there are a million things to think about. In my humble opinion, photography is one of the most important. It doesn't have to be a complicated though. Below are several questions and answers that many couples have when facing the task of planning the photography and choosing a photographer.

1. Question: How long before the wedding should I book the photographer?
   Answer: About 9 months before the wedding. This gives you plenty of time to find a photographer that has work you like, that fits your style and that you get along with. You'll have time to shoot an engagement session also.
    
2. Question: How should I go about choosing a photographer?
   Answer: Choose somebody that specializes in weddings. You will spend the whole day with the photographer, so choose somebody that you get along with. There are many different styles of wedding photography, so make sure you know what type of style you like most and choose somebody that shoots in that way. Budget is a concern for most couples. Most people recommend NOT skimping on the photography, since these are the pictures of your big day that you will enjoy for the rest of your life. It is usually suggested to spend as much as you can within your budget on a quality photographer. This can typically be somewhere between 9-15% of the total wedding budget.
